Hello, team!!
I want to start off apologizing for the slow posting--like a lot of people, I'm not too familiar with blogging and I had way more fun reading everybody else's blog than writing my own :P
Where to start! Well, my name is Megan. I grew up in suburbia with parking lots as far as the eye can see and now I live in a full-out concrete jungle, but every chance I get I'm out hiking or rock climbing somewhere. I absolutely adore being outside, which makes living in the city a little stifling sometimes.
I'm currently a freshman at Moody Bible Institute in the beautiful city of Chicago :) I'm studying women's ministries with an interdisciplinary in 'intercultural studies' (which is just their sneaky way of saying missions).
I have a bunch of very strange aspirations: I want to learn ASL fluently, play the violin, learn how to whittle and basket-weave, live in a treehouse one day, turn a brothel into a church, and ย million more things along those lines. I just love quirky things and quirky people. I adore culture and skills and people in general.
But above and beyond how much I adore those things, I simply adore this one Guy named Jesus...I didn't grow up in a Christian home, but when I was a sophomore in high school God punched me in the face and stole my heart and I don't ever want it back. I've been on two trips with AIM before, both of which were incredible, and am just so excited about this summer.
