I want to just begin by saying how incredibly blessed I am to be one of your leaders on this trip. I am so humbled to be in this position and I give God the glory! Man everyone, we truly have such a fear invoking God and yet He is also an extremely passionate romancer to each and everyone of us. Glory Lord! Glory to you name!

Alright, so you want to know about Jeremy Olson...Well, I’m 20 years old (I’ll be 21 on May 17th). With that comment I’m sure all you parents hearts just skipped a beat. lol. Yes I’m young but no worries. By the grace of God Nikki and I, we got this.... Anyways, I am currently enrolled at Moody Bible Institute. My major is Children’s ministries but I am also taking some international missions classes at well. Combine the two and you have my dream for the future. I want to be a Children’s Missionary. After I graduate I hope to take a vision to East Africa for two years and travel all around. I want to really immerse myself in the African culture and live as they live. I want to bounce around churches and observe their Children’s ministries for what they are. I want to see where they excel and where they do not. Once I return to the States I will put together a team and we will design a training and discipleship program, move back to Africa as full time missionaries, and implement the plan. My dream is to see a generation of children rise up from the poorest of situations who are heart, mind, and soul, dedicated to living out the Kingdom of God on this earth. I want to see the children seek the Lord in ways that make the injustices, chains, and oppressions of their country break before the name of Jesus. Man that just gets me fired up! Let it be Lord!

What are my passions? First and foremost I love to worship the Lord through music. This gift from the Lord is what fills me, what puts my soul at rest, what stills and amplifies my spirit, and what gives me life! Musical worship means the world to me! It is a way of entering the intimate chambers of our Lord where we can enjoy Him and he can enjoy us. Moving on, I also love dancing, laughing, volleyball, acting, discipleship, eating, NAPS, diversity, and much much more. Children bring so much joy to my life as well. I love to talk with them, play with them, encourage them, laugh with them....basically anything and everything with children is flippin’ awesome.

So why am I going on this trip? Two words....Africa and discipleship. Africa is where my heart is. Spring semester last year I went to Kenya for four months with AIM and from that moment on Africa became my home. The culture is beautiful, the people are beautiful, and to be completely honest it is swarming with black children and frankly black children are the cutest children around! HAHA! Yes that’s my opinion but I will claim it as fact all day long. lol. Beyond Africa, I love discipleship. I love pouring into anyone and everyone I can and sharing life with them. With this trip, I get to pour into you all, my peers! I want to serve you. I want to encourage you. I want to intercede for you. I want to hang with you, laugh with you, cry with you, whatever. I’m here for you guys so take advantage of me!

So much more to say but I’m sure you all are sick of reading so I’ll end with this. As a body of Christ we are called to pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and request for all the saints (Ephesians 6:18). I take that instruction seriously and I hope that you all will as well. I have been interceding for this team for hours upon hours since I applied as a leader and will continue to do so. Now that I have names I get to really focus in on each and everyone of you individually and I can’t wait. Please feel free to email me JJay7717@yahoo.com or call/text me 231-215-3870 anytime with any prayer request (and also just to chat) to help me direct my prayers. Know that I am storming the gates of heaven for each and every one of you daily and that I will never stop.

Lets bring some Kingdom!,

Jeremy Olson
